Munson Hills Trail Workday

JANUARY 2010 NEWS: Munson/TZ Trail Assessment from Trail Dynamics' Valerie Naylor. Optional experimental link to the same file. Please let me know if you have any trouble accessing the file via that experimental link. Starting with a handful of shots and a video of 27 September 2008 tread improvement. Let's see if I can remember everyone who worked: Jim Schmid, Ken Foster, Chuck Goodheart, Dick Rogers, Keith Roberson, Linc Clay. Jim Schmid uploaded his 27 September 2008 photos here. Jim also has photos from the 7 June 2008 "National Trail Day" Munson build here, and the 19 October 2008 workday here. The related/connected Twilight Zone trailwork is shown here. Twilight Zone Trail may be thought of as Munson Hills South. Official Munson/Twilight Zone map. A few Munson Hills/Twilight Zone Trail links of interest: Ken Foster's Munson Hills blog. • Looking uphill at the problem. Exceeding grade out here results in loose sand deposited downhill. Rather than rerouting, we're armoring with crushed concrete.
