2006 FHSAA 1A Track & Field Finals

642 shots from the FRIDAY competition at Wolfson HS, Jacksonville, FL. No, I didn't have to change to my spare battery. Once Nikon's camera/lens durability catches up to their battery technology, they'll really be on to something. We got back to Tallahassee around noon. About 20M east of Tallahassee, I realized I've got a slight problem. I left my computer back in Jax. Doh! Nice Sunday afternoon drive over and back to retrieve it. Thanks to Baymeadows Inn & Suites for holding it for me! Btw, Droze even caught a bunch of polluted bass from the holding pond for the kids to eat. Sorry 'bout that! Night shots were the usual pain. No "endzone" lights in the facility, finish line area not accessible/beyond the grandstands (it's a football stadium with a track around it, as per normal), camera glitches had me switching lenses to even an old 50 1.8 way up in the bleachers, arrgh. Posting everything anyway, regardless. Perhaps you'll find something with you or yours. Have fun! I do want to compliment the folks actually managing the 1A finals, aka "putting on the meet and coordinating the help." The meet stayed on or ahead of schedule, hurdle crew was awesome (my favorite volunteer job), predictions of disaster were thankfully incorrect.
