FSU XC Invite 2007

Photos 7262-8672 from the wildly popular (among smaller university and Florida HS teams) FSU XC Invitational College/HS/Open, 22 Sep at Miccosukee Greenway Park. HS 5Km runners might note the course is measured properly (tangents) per NCAA specs. On this venue, tangents produce a course ~70m longer than NFHS's antiquated but specified center-of-course method. Race (and photo) order: College Men's 8Km College Women's 5Km HS Boys' 5Km HS Girls' 5Km Open Male 5Km Open Female 5Km I didn't preview these photos. I do hope a few are in focus. (I'm culling a few after the fact. That will still leave over 1300 photos.) I was real lazy and used a 50mm fixed lens (75mm equivalent digital crop), mostly f/2.0 to f/2.8. Not much margin for error. I may have to stop that lens down a bit next time if I can't be more careful. History would indicate I can't be more careful. Wanna see some much nicer FSU Invite photos? Till then, it's time for me to set aside the camera. Lead bike duty (guiding the runners, radioing splits back to the start/finish) and course design/setup is waaaay more fun anyway!
