Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails)  > Track & Field > 2007 > Bolles Bulldog Classic
Endless thanks to Bolles School Coaches Dan Dearing and Tony Ryan for full access to the track venue. These gentlemen are the real deal, a couple of Florida T&F/XC heroes. If all the coaches and "governors of the sport" demonstrated concern for the kids like these guys, the sport would be advanced so much more. Thanks, fellas!

Some captioning/comment coming as I wade through 1333 (1.8GB) of photos from 2 cameras. Photos uploaded are #3617-3865 (D70), and #1237-2339 (D40).
Be aware that some may end up in the gallery out of chronological order. Note to those looking at EXIF data: the D70's clock was about one hour ahead of the D40's.
Last event I was able to photograph was the Boys' 3200m. Had to run to the bus shortly after to beat our curfew back in Tallahassee. So sorry, no 4X400m photos.

IMPORTANT! You will be better off if you change the gallery "style" (top-right pulldown menu) from the default "smugmug" to ALL THUMBS! If you fail to do this, you'll be wading through as many as 149 pages of shots, 9 to a page.

By now, those who've suffered through my galleries know I may just post nearly everything. Including those that any self-respecting photographer would have deleted in-camera. Of course, real photographers have sufficient skills to comprehend concepts like composition, focus, exposure . . . I'm not painting with light here, ok? I'm just a runner with a camera or two, documenting a really nice event, merrily snapping away with semi-cooperative camera gear and zero training.
I don't think much can be done with the "fried" shots or the night-blurred ones. You may wish to try your luck with Photoshop/etc or Noise Ninja/Neat Image:

If I edit before posting, it takes too long, ok? I do post the full sized shots that I'd set in-camera. I don't normally compress anything any further. So at least you'll have a pretty good-sized lousy looking file to work with!
Away we go.
