Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails)  > Parks and Trails > Tom Brown, Cadillac, & Piney Z Area > Cadillac Trail Hill of Death Modding
NOTE: Video clips are scattered through this gallery.
See also this Hill of Death "walk around" gallery.
21 September 2008: Working on the H2 jump and H3 bench options. (Original Hill of Death is H1.) Photos and videos all posted. Thanks to Chris Neal for snapping stills on Craig's inaugural action jump and the Trail Gnome chopping photos.

With a gallery full of shots, you may find it easier to navigate if you change the gallery "style" (top right) from "smugmug" to "all thumbs." Or "slideshow" or "filmstrip" or . . . you get the idea, it's configurable by you. I usually like "journal."

Questions, pre-scoldings, comments, ID, complaints?
Thanks,
John Kalin

We met at the Piney Z/Lafayette Heritage Park playground/parking lot (left), then worked in the Hill of Death area (far right) of Cadillac Trail East (aka Lower Cadillac trail).
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > Last first, 'cause I know you're impatient: the H2 jump in action. Craig christens it, followed by Jose and Poopees.
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > So the objects of today's exercise are:
1) place the wooden ramp near the edge of the H2 (left) drop off, and build a stable transition below,
2) continue and refine the bench cut on H3 (right).
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > Lisa and James drove in the gear to make today's build possible.
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > Captain Todd, PhD sights land ahead. That's Post hole Digger.
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > We let Tim Murphy carry all the tools he likes.
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > Todd gets to work as Judy and Jose offer moral support.
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > Tim stood for a good while on my foot. Luckily, he's rather light. Or he would be if we were on the freakin' Moon.
Trail Gnome (tallahasseetrails) > Jose and Todd engage in a little PhD competition.
