5k HS event (shown), 1.5M MS race (got photos you'd like me to post?), 5k community race (most HS/MS posted). I also have community race photos - not posted.
Apologies for getting just the boring finish line photos. On this course I was too cowardly to hold the camera in one hand while leading the races on the Pugsley, pedaling up the ravine hill, over the log hops, etc.
COURSE RECORD?
This year's course produced the fastest Prefontaine times I could document. (I checked "Fleet Foot" newsletters back through 1978.) Joseph Franklin won the HS 5k in 16:46, with Tyler Price close behind in 16:51. Gary Droze won the Open 5k in 17:24. I don't think we've had anyone run a Prefontaine race as fast as Gary's time since 1995, when he was credited with a 17:12, beating David Ogletree (17:28) and John Otterson (17:36). All-time best I could find was Tim Simpkins' 16:51 from 1985. Franklin takes that one down, with Price equalling it.

What an awesome race, huh? The new compact two-loop course really helps keep the spectators interested in the race.

How 'bout a shoutout to Jeff Nielsen and Gary Droze, the brains behind this event. The pushup contest keeps getting better. Girls' and Boys' divisions now. Photos below, near the end of the gallery.
Thanks to Sherry and Sonny (the Park management) for all of their efforts as well. What nice folks.
